At the Libertarian Party, we believe that Victoria's public lands should remain open and accessible to all. From the bush to the beach, our natural landscapes are part of our heritage and a source of enjoyment for generations. We oppose policies that turn our forests into locked up national parks and restrict the public’s right to responsibly enjoy the outdoors.
CONSERVING ACCESS TO OUR GREAT OUTDOORS
We believe outdoor recreation is a vital part of the Australian way of life. Public land is for public use. Yet, more and more, we are being shut out, with increased restrictions on activities. National Parks too often become unmanaged zones, allowing weeds and feral animals to thrive unchecked, and leading to greater bushfire risks. We advocate for a balanced approach that maintains access while preserving the natural environment.
